Samirian Chemicals Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Accounting Assistant with a strong understanding of accounting tools and a passion for financial accuracy. This role offers the chance to support key financial functions, perform data analysis, and drive process improvements within a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment. Leverage your knowledge of accounting software to gain valuable hands-on experience in financial reporting, data management, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and support NetSuite, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses using NetSuite tools.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes within NetSuite.
Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and complete data cleanup tasks.
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and identify improvements in NetSuite.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including consolidation and reporting.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as needed.
Stay informed on accounting regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Currently studying Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Eager to learn and develop new skills.
Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software is a plus.
Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred.

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

With experience in chemical safety and distribution, we are committed to excellence. By having multiple locations we provide a short lead time with our local inventory. We expertise by industry by having an on-site chemical analyst in order to meet your required specifications as well as having a dedicated team to provide quality, reliability, and the highest degree of customer service.
